Kandersteg Ice Climbing Festival from January 6 – 8, 2012
Ice climbing in various locations around Kandersteg, test equipment, cool hangouts, legendary ice climbing competition, sky diving airshow, workshops with ice climbing stars, giant ice climbing party.
Competition
Saturday, Januar 7
08:30 AM Distribution of start numbers, information about climbing locations and ice conditions.
9.30 AM – around 3:00 PM competition and open qualification for everyone.
3:00 – 5:00 PM semi-finals for women and men.
After 9:30 PM spectacular flood light finals! 1,800 Euro in prizes to be won.
A giant ice climbing party will be held afterwards with several surprises!
Workshops
Saturday, January 7
9:00 AM Registration for workshops and payment at the Black Diamond tent next to the competition wall across from the Gemmi Lodge.
9:30 AM Division into groups and distribution of test equipment.
10:00 AM joint march and Sunbühel train trip to the “Spittelmatti” workshop area.
3:00 PM end of workshop
Sunday, January 8
